Transplant Type - Stem Cell

We are very sorry to say that, after a long battle with scleroderma, Michele lost her fight in January 2009.

After her diagnosis of scleroderma, a rare and chronic autoimmune disease which causes the body's connective tissues to harden, the tissue in Michele's lungs became severely damaged.

Before her illness Michele lived a full and active life which included snow skiing, biking, roller blading and gardening.

Doctor's hoped a stem cell transplant could save Michele's life, but were never able to perform the operation.

Because Michele's health insurance would not cover her transplant-related expenses, her family will be facing significant costs for years to come. You can help Michele's family. A tax-deductible donation to the NFT New Jersey Stem Cell Fund in memory of Michele will help make it possible for NFT to assist Michele's family facing the soaring costs of her medical care.

To make a secure, online donation click the link below Michele's photo. If you'd prefer to mail your gift, please send it to the NFT New Jersey Stem Cell Fund, 5350 Poplar Avenue, Suite 430, Memphis, TN 38119. Please be sure to write "in memory of Michele Marron-Meyerhoff" in the memo line.

Thank you for your generosity!
