Transplant Type - Heart

Before he was born, Landon's parents learned he was suffering from Pulmonary Atresia, an extremely rare form of congenital heart disease. When he was less than one month old, he was placed on the transplant waiting list at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

In February, little Landon received a lifesaving heart transplant and is recovering well.

Landon's parents are thankful for their wonderful support system to help them get through this difficult time. Landon is surrounded by love from his four older siblings, friends and family members, and they all worry about his health and want him to get better.

Even though he's had a tough life so far, Landon is a trooper and loves to play with his big brother and sisters. His parents know one day he will grow into a strong young man with a bright, successful future. But right now, they need your help.

A heart transplant costs more than $750,000. And that's only the beginning. Landon faces significant medical expenses related to his transplant. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. The cost of post-transplant medications can range from $2,000 to $5,000 per month--and they are as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.

Landon is likely to need a second transplant down the road, and his parents are trying to prepare for those expenses as well.
