Transplant Type - Kidney
Delbert has experienced many health complications in the past several years. He was diagnosed with diabetes, which led to end-stage renal failure. His doctors said a kidney transplant was his only hope for survival.
Fortunately, Delbert received his lifesaving transplant in May 2008, but he now faces tremendous financial burdens related to the transplant.
The average kidney transplant costs approximately $250,000, and Delbert's insurance covered only a portion of the costs. He also will need a lifetime of follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. The medications alone could cost as much as $3,000 per month, and they are as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.
Delbert's illness and plus significant back and neck injuries have left him disabled and unable to work, making these medical expenses even more devastating for his family.
Please help! Your gift in Delbert's honor will make a difference in his life. With your donation, NFT can assist with his transplant-related expenses.
To donate online, please click on the link beneath Delbert's photo. If you prefer to mail your gift, please send it to NFT Oklahoma Kidney Fund, 5350 Poplar Ave., Suite 430, Memphis, TN 38119. Please be sure to write "in honor of Delbert Spriggs" in the memo line.
Thank you for your generosity!
