Transplant Type - Heart
Robert is a 64 year old husband, father of two children. He was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a disease which caused life-threatening and irreversible damage to his heart. A heart transplant was his best hope for long-term survival. Fortunately, Robert received his lifesaving transplant July 19, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.
He is currently recuperating and doing well. However, even with insurance, Robert and his family must raise approximately $25,000 for the estimated out-of-pocket transplant-related expenses! Robert is required to take many expensive medications for the rest of his life, to keep his body from rejecting his new heart.
You can help.
