Transplant Type - Lung
Roseina wanted nothing more than to take a walk with her grandchildren without stopping to catch her breath every few steps. NFT helped her achieve that dream.
Roseina desperately needed a double lung transplant. She suffered from advanced emphysema and was on oxygen for nine years. After months of tests and procedures, she was added to the transplant waiting list for a double lung transplant.
Fortunately, Roseina received her lifesaving transplant in November 2008.
However, Roseina's insurance only covered a portion of the transplant costs, which are estimated at $500,000.
In addition to the transplant itself, she will need a lifetime of follow-up care and daily medications to prevent her body from rejecting her new lungs. These essential medications could cost anywhere from $2,000 to $5,000 each month.
Your tax-deductible gift, designated to the Idaho Lung Fund in honor of Roseina, will enable NFT to help Roseina with her transplant-related expenses during this difficult time.
To make a secure online donation, click the link below her photo. If you'd prefer to mail your gift, please send it to the NFT Idaho Lung Fund, 5350 Poplar Avenue, Suite 430, Memphis, TN 38119. Please be sure to write "in honor of Roseina Hester" in the memo line.
