After being diagnosed with primary biliary cirrhosis, doctors told Bette her only hope for survival was in a liver transplant.

Fortunately, she received a new liver in 2006.

She is now facing transplant-related costs, including expenses for vital anti-rejection medications she must take daily for the rest of her life.
