Transplant Type - Bone Marrow

Deanna, a real estate agent, had an aggressive form of Hodgkin's disease that urgently required a bone marrow transplant (using her own stem cells). However, because of limits in her insurance, the hospital required a $147,000 deposit before she could receive the transplant. Thanks to the generosity of donors to NFT, Deanna was able to receive her transplant in January of 2006. Deanna is doing very well and is cancer free!

Deanna is now reaching out to help others on Guam who also need assistance.
